Demon’s Magical Position

Most people believe that demons are intertwined with the magical word, and witchcraft. Are they right? According to The New Encyclopedia of the Occult is a nonphysical, malign nature. Throughout history many of the magical practices have their own beliefs of how demons function among their practice. Today the beliefs are intertwined in the past, but even those using rituals summoning demons stress they are not a work for magical beginners, and carry very substantial risk.

Wand

Wands are the most common instrument mentioned in the legends of magical powers. And indeed, it is one of the devices among the toolkit of the ancient and medieval ceremonial magic users. It uses became mere mentions among grimoires. Some of those books even omitted it, but in the nineteenth century the wand became a symbol of a person’s will. Currently a wand is referred to an athame, and is used during ceremonial magic.

Writer’s Ramble

It seems as if I have been working on the revision of Collar of Truth, Human-Skinned Wolves Book 5 forever. In some sense, I have. Not because it was a hard story to complete, but because I have been doing this in-between completing my Certificate in Media Communication. Not to mention changing my lifestyle to one of healthy living. Even writers have to put their healthy first sometimes. Not easy trying to juggle so many things, but I will find a balance.

Inspiration Photo

Photo Came From:

First thoughts that popped into my mind when I saw this photo.

I hadn’t seen it in eighteen years. Then only once before when Malcom lost control of his Pure Blood Wolf magic. The purples mingled in with the pink, which faded into green. The red flared down his neck, consuming his body, all except his chest which glowed yellow. What stood out among all that was his intense light blue and teal like green eyes that bore into his enemgy.

I’d love to hear what came to your mind when you saw it. Even if it a simply word.

Their names were, Alecto, never ending, Megaira, envious anger, and Tisiphone, voice of revenge. They appeared as hideous women with serpents entwined in their hair, making some refer to them as whips and torches.

Mythical Creature of the Week – Lamia

There are many kinds of mythical sexual predators among our world, the Lamia is more. She belongs among the Greek mythology and is a female demon who seduces sleeping men and devour children. There are many descriptions of her, all of which include her having a beautiful upper body. One story states that she was loved by Zeus, which earned her the vengeance of the jealous Hera, Zeus’s wife. Hera supposedly kidnapped her and murdered her children in revenge for the affair. This drove Lamia mad and into a cave, where her rage transformed her into a hideous monster who snatched children and sucked their blood.

Severed Head

I’m sure we’ve all seen or heard about severed heads from the movies and scary tales. But they are an important part of ancient Celtic magic. The Pagan Celts were headhunters who preserved the severed heads of enemies and incorporated them in magic.

Surprise, Surprise.

I love surprises. Who don’t. Specially, when they are something you’ve been looking for, for a long time. Four years ago, I found two of the House of Night graphic novels. I loved the book series and was sure I would love the graphic book. Problem was, when I found those two they were number 3 and 4, but I could not find the other books. The other day, I received a package in the mail and it was the entire Graphic Novel. Can’t wait to find a nice cozy place to curl up and get lost in the wonderful world of the graphic novel.

Is witchcraft a religion?

Today’s my facts are coming from Buckland’s Complete Book of Witchcraft. In the introduction, Raymond Buckland states that witchcraft is not a step back or a retreat into a more superstition filled time. He goes on to tell us that it is a step forward, because Witchcraft is a religion more relevant to the time than churches. This fact alone kept me reading when I was using this book for some research on Witchcraft. I love how he views witchcraft as an acceptance of personal and social responsibility, an acknowledgment of a universe and a means towards a raising of consciousness.

If you are truly looking for a broader understanding of Witchcraft then I suggest reading Raymond Buckland’s book. It will not only interest you, but it will give you an deeper concept about the religion of Witchcraft.
