Chapter 35
Bobby wasn’t sure what had changed between him and James after their amazing round of lovemaking, but the two of them had been attached. If not physically, even if it was just a finger against the edge of their arm or another finger, then their minds had been so open to one another that the other knew exactly what the other thought. Their wolves had not even met, but the two were so intune with one another that it was as if they took their breaths at the same time. Way more intense than he had with Tommy.
“Bobby, why did you let us sleep so long?” Tyler had his arm around Bill who was wiping his eyes and shaking his head. “We should have been figuring out where we are going to stay and I had so much to do for Mr. Stake.”
“What you have to do for Tony will have to be put off for a bit.” Bobby motioned to the table. “Sit and eat while I fill you in on what took place while you where asleep.”
“Hey, Bobby.” Bill came over and gave me a small squeeze. “You look much better than earlier. I am glad.”
“I feel way better.” He smiled at James. “Go eat and let’s talk.”
Bobby and James took the seats across from them and began filling them in. Had to say Bill took the idea that he had two more mates arriving in less than twenty minutes better than Tyler did. He kept asking James how he handled the pure concept that he had to share his mate. Seemed his wolf disliked the idea. A lot. James kept telling him that it had to be a frame of mind that him and him wolf came to terms with. Bobby wasn’t sure if Tyler would get a hole of that before the others arrived. He hoped he did for Bill’s sake. Bill on the other hand . . . He seemed intrigued about how the entire concept worked. He had to admit he was to.
James and him had talked after while they cooked and came to terms with a method of how to incorporate the other three mates into their lives. They went as far as to leave room if he ran across his Mixed Breed Mate. The mere idea of being able to have five different mates seemed . . . complicated, but . . . least he was the dominate in all of them, beside James.
“Bobby,” Bill nudged him as he dried the plate that Bobby had just haded him. “Do you think Tyler will be able to . . . I mean he . . . Do you think James can help him . . .”
Bobby glanced over at the table where James and Tyler sat discussing the idea of how life with multiple mates would work. Tyler had asked to speak to James privately, so he’d taken Bill to wash dishes by hand. They had a dishwasher, but the pots and pans where best washed by hand.
“Bill, if anyone can help Tyler understand it is James. Tyler cares about you deeply. I can tell that. He has not showed one ounce of disrespect or hatred towards you, has he?” He best not had.
Bill smiled over at Tyler. “No. He’s great to me. Don’t treat me like an idiot as I try to learn things I’ve never seen before.” He sighed. “Do you think the others will treat me that way as well.”
“They best, or I’ll kick their as to the curb.”
Bill lifted eyebrow was funny, but the wya his lips turned upward was even cuter.
“Just means I’ll teach them how to treat you.”
“Oh. See, that’s what I mean.”
“You are learning and that’s what matters. You will catch up.”
There was a knock on the door and the room filled with sighs. “Tyler, we’ll let you and Bill’s an entourage gather in here.”
All of a sudden pain shot through Bobby’s arm. He grunted and jerked his head towards Bill. James took three large steps and was at his side. He easily took hold of Bill hands and uncurled his fingers. Tyler was beside Bill and holding him. He took hold of Bill’s cheeks and forced him to look him in the eyes.
“What is it?”
“What if . . . I can’t . . . You aren’t going to . . . They will make me leave you.” Tears welled up in his eyes and began to trickle over his cheeks.
Bobby glanced over at Tyler who shook his head at him. “Bill, no one is going to make you leave me. I promise. We are going to find a house that will hold all of us, even if I have to have one built. I promise.”
“He’s right, baby.” Tyler turned Bill so he could hold him close and Bill buried his face in Tyler’s neck. “There is a chance that some of these guys may wish to remain on their own. That is why we are going to discuss things with them. Ain’t that right, James?”
“That’s right. That’s why Tyler will discuss how much time and when and how it will be given.”
Bobby’s hiccup was heartbreaking, but understandable. He’d spent his entire life in wolf form and knew nothing about how to live in human form. He never knew he had a brother until he ran across Bobby, even then he hadn’t even known why Bobby smelled similar to him. They both had been robbed of a life that most twins had. Neither wished to be parted from each other and it would be over Bobby’s dead body before anyone separated them again. Not until they wished it.
“Let’s go meet our other mates, how about that.” Bobby rested his hand on Bill’s back.
He gave a small nod and moved from Tyler’s embrace.
James wrapped his arm around Bobby’s waist and led them both down the hallway. Bobby parted from James at the entryway to the living room. Tyler and Bill followed James into the living room. Bobby went to the door and greeted their guest.
