Chapter 45
“We chose the perfect color to go along with the decorations.” Tommy all but wiggled off of the square bench that he sat on. “Aren’t you about to jump out of your skin?”
“I am, baby.” Bobby went over and knelt in front of him.
“Why are you able to be so still and calm looking?”
“You wolf is riding you hard. Would you like Cal to talk to him?”
“Please. I’m going to explode with excitement and bounce all around like a jumping bean.”
Bobby chuckled as he took hold of his hand and brought them up to his lips. “I’d catch you and hold you to me.” He dropped to his knees so he could look Tommy so that Stay could see him as well. “Stay, Cal and I need you to settle down. We are here and if you want us to become one completely, Tommy has to be able to be a bit calmer. Able to be a bit more still. Can you take a step back until it is time for you to come forward?”
Bobby loved how Tommy’s eye went totally wolf green then faded back to his normal color. The wiggling ceased and his head fell onto Bobby’s shoulder as he took in a huge deep breath.
“Much better. Thanks, mate.”
“Glad to help.” Bobby heard soft chatter coming from the other side of the curtain. “We have to get changed. People are arriving.”
The two of them quickly changed into their white suits and stood side by side, peering around the curtain, watching as people filed into the gathering area. Before long the area was full of both werewolf shifters mixed with vampires, pure werewolves and pure vampires. A combination that Bobby never thought he’d be around, let alone get married among. Dream come true. One he never let himself believe in. One he kept hidden all his life.
“Okay, guy’s.” David said as he came around the curtain. “I will lead the ceremony. Just follow what I say.”
Bobby almost busted out laughing when David spun on his heels like a marching solider and went adn stood on the backside of the archway, giving a small howl. The crowd grew quiet and all heads turned towards him.
“Wolf/Vamp Group, we are here to join the wolves of Bobby Timber and Tommy Stake. Tonight is a night of great celebration. They have already committed themselves by marking one another and mating in wolf form.” David turned his head to the curtains and lifted his hand. “Bobby bring your mate Tommy and stand in front of me.” Together they walked up to the center of the arch, with Tommy taking the right hand side and him on the left side. “Who will dominate in this marriage?”
Bobby wasn’t sure why, but he stood up taller and squared his shoulder before he answered. “I will, Alpha Kind.” He knew the Group wasn’t big on formality, but the ceremony was special and he was going to make sure the wording was done correct on his part. He hoped Tommy felt the same way.
David faced Tommy and locked eyes with him as he asked, “Are you willing to submit to Bobby tonight in wolf form in front of your Group?”
Tommy gave David a small bow and then glanced his way, never looking him in the eyes while he spoke. “Yes, Alpha Kind. It will be my honor.”
“Then Tommy, Bobby, both of you please change into your wolf. Once in wolf form, ask your mate if he wishes to bond in wolf form. If so, do so at completion.”
“Yes, Alpha Kind.”
Bobby had not thought anything about them bonding formally. He knew they held the mateship bond, but the wolf marriage bond was much more intense. Much more permanent. What would Tommy think about it? Would he agree? Bobby wanted them to have such. His dad always told him stories of how much he loved how much closer and how much more intimacy it gave him with Daddy Simon. He wanted that with his mate.
As he ran over and over rather he’d have to convince Tommy to do the marriage bond with him he undressed and changed. Once in wolf form, Cal walked around Stay three times and then mounted him, loving the howl that his mate gave. Soon as Stay’s howl faded Cal and Bobby both felt the partial link they’d shared before complete. It was time to test it out to ensure he could not only hear Stay but also Tommy.
Stay, can I speak to Tommy?
Yes, Mate.
There was a weird shiver through the link between them then he heard Tommy’s tender voice.
Honey, I heard you. We are linked up. Man, this is amazing.
Sure is. Do you want to do the Wolf Marriage Bond?
There was no hesitation from Tommy or Stay. Both of them answered him at the same time. Second one word he’d heard in his life. Best being when Tommy agreed to be his mate. Maybe third. Second was when he agreed to marry him in both werewolf and vampire ways.
Some time later when Cal felt his release rising he bit down on the back of Stay’s neck. The bite drew blood, enough that it ran down Cal’s throat and around his fangs, into Stay’s fur as Cal forced Stay to hsi belly. The show of the upmost submission for all to see that his mate gave all to his mate, right down to his life, because the Werewolf Marriage Bond meant that they would be one until the day one of them died. There was no separating them. Once everyone had time to see Stay on his belly, Cal release his hold and licked the wound until it began to heal. It was then that he caught the scent of the intruder.
Do not get up, mate. Cal stood over him and sat down, throwing his head back howling as he scanned every section of trees and bushes.
“What is it, Bobby?” David asked?
Cal threw his head back and sniffed the air. He wasn’t sure if David would get what him and his wolf was trying to say, but it was the best he could do. He was not leaving his mate unprotected to track the intruding bastard down.
A chair scraped, pulling a snarl from Cal.
“Son,” Daddy Simon’s voice had him looking into the crowd of people. “Is someone here?”
Cal nodded and sniffed the air.
“Bobby, is it the intruder?” David asked.
Cal nodded.
“We have your mate protected. Go and hunt.”
Stay, do not leave the Group. You hear me.
Yes, Mate. I’ll be fine. Be safe.
Cal gave Stay a lick then darted into the trees where the scent was the strongest.
