This is a list of the Heraldic Animals and their meanings.

-          Unicorn means extreme courage, virtue, and strength.

-          Griffin means death-defying, bravery in battles

-          Dragon means power, protection, and wisdom

-          Cockatrice means terror to all beholders

-          Sphinx means omniscience and secrecy

-          Pegasus means genius and inspiration

-          Harpy means fierce when provoked

-          Mermaid means eloquences is speech

-          Centaur means eminence is the field of battle

-          Hydra means conquest of powerful enemy

-          Phoenix means long life, miraculous recovery from a deathly wound.
