Chapter 31

Bobby had just left a very ticked off Bill in a spare room with Tyler, who was doing his best to calm his mate and his wolf down. Looked as if his brother was as protective of him as he was of him. Kind of made him feel a bit floaty. He may have lost his wolf mate, but he had others that loved and cared for him and his wolf. What he missed was the affection and connection his Vampire side had felt from Tommy. Bobby had not recognized how much his Vampire side was drawn to him until he noticed the mate connection fade from existence a couple of hours after Uncle Tony left. Tommy might not have been a Vampire, but he allowed him to feed from him. Knew how to settle him when both sides of him was riled up. Would James be able to do that? He had soothed him when he became exhausted and fell apart. And that had been both parts of him. No. That had just been Cal, his wolf had reached its point and it zapped him completely. All parts of him felt the pain and torment that Cal was putting himself through over the actions of his wolf mate.

“My Love,” James ran a finger over his cheek, “you look a million miles away.”

“What will we do about my Vampire side?”

“You can feed from me any time you wish to, My Love. I know what you need. What a mate to a Mixed Breed of your kind is required to do.”

Was that a genuine offer? He felt no censorship coming from him. No disgust from him. Never had, even before he left their previous pack. James had alway treated him like any other supernatural being. Not like some Mixed Breed. Why was he doubting him?

“My Love, it is okay to - -“ A knock cut him off. “You expecting someone?”

“No.” Bobby sniffed the air as James glanced at his watch.

“About an hour early for Tony.”

“It’s Larry. You expecting him?”

James shook his head as he grabbed Bobby’s hand and moved them to the door. They both tilted their head when he saw Larry and five other . . .

Are they Mixed Breeds?

Yes. But why did he bring them? Bobby wasn’t keen on so many unknowns showing up, even if it was with his brother.

He must have a  reason. Let him explain. Please. I promise he will have one. He would not show up without one.

“What do we owe this visit, Larry?”

“Now, now, you know I would not just show up without a reason.”

Larry’s grin all most eased Bobby, but his wolf was kicking up a storm. Snarling and howling. Pushing for control. He wasn’t sure what was going on with Cal and his mind was kind of jumble up so much he could not quite grasp what his wolf was telling him.

James, can you get a jist of what my wolf is trying to tell me?

The lack of response had Bobby wondering if he was being ignored until he heard the last thing he expected to.

I think I know why my brother showed up with these guys.

Why?

My Love, take some deep, calming breaths and let your wolf side come forward, then your vampire side. Give them both time to take note of those around us, but first let’s let them inside.

“Come on in and take a seat.”

“You have figured it out, haven’t you, James?”

“He has not, though.” The guy that stood an inch to the right of Larry shook his head, causing his long blond hair bounce. “Why not?”

“Give him some time. He’s had a hellish day. Let’s take a seat and let him have some time. He will pin it down. Just don’t push him.”

“That an order?” The long red-haired guy who came in right behind the blond asked.

“It is, in fact.” Larry hissed.

Bobby took in a two deep breaths as the group walked by him. He caught a whiff of each person. The blond had his wolf howling and begging to be released. Bobby wasn’t so sure if he completely trusted what his wolf, even though Cal had never led him wrong. Until he fell for  Tommy’s lies, which they both had. Did that mean he could not trust what his wolf was telling him then? If he did and he ignored the . . . Was it attraction? Sexual only? They’d never met.

The red head walked by and it was all he could do not to hiss and jump on the guy’s back and bite his neck. Fuck. He’d never felt that strong of a reaction to anyone. He’d met few Vampires, but none created such in him before. Did that mean . . .

James, what does a Vampire feel when they run across their mate?

According to Larry, for the dominate in the relationship it is to hold them in place from behind while they feed.

Details sort of fit what he was feeling. If the red-haired was his Vampire Mate then . . . How had Larry known to bring him here? And did that mean . . . Sure

James, is Larry able to tell who is mated to whom?

Not to my knowledge.

Then how did he managed to bring my Vampire Mate to our home?

Let’s ask him.

“Would anyone like a drink before we begin?”

Bobby wasn’t keen on showing submissive actions in frnot of his Vampire Mate and a possible Wolf Mate, but he was the lesser in the Fated Mate relationship. James did not make him act that way, but it had became more of a natural aspect for him to do so in small manners. In the bigger ways, he still found himself acting as an equal with James. Thank goodness.

“I’ll give you anything you wish,” the red-haired guy tilted his neck.

“Not that kind of drink.” Bobby smiled at the red-haired guy. “But I appreciated the offer. Later. Maybe.”

“Then you have picked up on who we are to you.”

“Him I have.”

“What does that mean?”

“Calm it down. And that is an order.” James moved to stand in front of him.

Bobby rested his hand on James’ hip as he made to sit down, since no one seemed inclined to refreshments. “I’m fine, sweetie.”

“They will not upset you. You’ve taken on enough stress for one day.” James knelt in front of him and took hold of his face. “I mean it, My Love. I don’t mind this conversation taking place, but you will not be upset by them. Especially, one that is the lessor of the two.”

“Brother,” Larry’s calm, alpha tone had James twisting his head. “We did not come to upset your mate. We were unaware of him being unwell today. We can return later if we need to.”

“That is not necessary.” Bobby patted the spot beside him. “I’m fine, sweetie. I need to understand why Alpha Timbers is here and why these particular men are with him.”

Chapter 30

Bobby sat at the table with James when Tommy came in followed by Uncle Tony. He came over with his head down and in that soft, tenor, sexy tone he had apologized.

“I’m sorry I lied to you. For all the hurt I caused you. Take care of yourself. I wish the most happiness for you.”

Bobby found himself speechless. Water bubbled up behind his eyes. He wasn’t sure why. He had known what was coming, but him and Cal still had their mate connection to him. It hurt deep to know that their mate had lied to them. Made them fall in love with them when he had another family hidden away. Had already chosen a mate, even if he had not officially mated to her. He had committed himself to her in other ways. Right down to having a son with her. Couldn’t get no more committed than that.

“James,” Uncle Tony’s voice drew him out of his depressing thoughts. That and the soft squezze to his hand. “May I set up a time to meet with you and Bobby?”

“That would be great.” James smiled over at him. “We also need to if you wish us to stay here or do I need to find us another place.”

“We will discuss that with the other stuff.”

“Is two okay with you?”

“I will see you then.”

Uncle Tony nodded at him. His frown spoke volumes. Sorry I’m taking your mate from you. Sorry my nephew did this. Sorry I’m breaking both of our hearts.  Plain out, Uncle Tony despised what he was about to do. What he had been forced to do.

Just as the two of them reached the door, it swung open and Tyler and Bill walked in. Bobby was up and down the hallway. Bill dove into his arms, squeezing him tight.

“I have a mate like you do.”

Bill’s simple, excited, child like comment was all it took. Tears spilled over and his shoulders began lifting and falling all on their own. He screamed for them to stop. But there was no stopping it. He’d taken all he could. The last straw for him and his wolf had just walked out to his death. In less than an hour, he’d have no mate . . . What was he thinking? He had James. He was a mate. Not a pure wolf mate like Tommy had been, but he was a solid, strong mate. That thought sent him crumpling to his knees.

Bill stepped back, holding him at arms length. “What is wrong, brother?

James came over and helped him to his feet, tugging me against his chest, allowing him to bury his face in his chest. “He just had too much to deal with lately. This last new bit pushed him over his limit. He needs to rest. Come join us for breakfast.”

“Who are you?” Bill’s question had Bobby snuggling closer to James, but before he could move to answer his brothers James calmly did so.

“Bill, I’m James, your brother’s Fated mate.”

“Nice to meet you, but I’m not sure what that means. Tyler, is he going to hurt my brother?”

Tyler, bless his heart came to Bobby’s rescue. He’d owe James and him so much by the time he was able to pull his act together.

“He is telling the truth. He cares for him. James has told me about him several times.”

“May I sniffed my brothers o I can make sure he is alright?”

“Sure. Let me get him seated.”

James pretty much had to carry his weighted ass back to the dining room table. Bobby despised himself. He’d never faltered so much in life. Not even when he lost his dad. What was wrong with him? How come the loss of his wolf mate hit him so hard?

Honey, you loved him deeply. James’ calm internal voice eased some of the berating he’d been giving himself, but what helped more was when his brother came up to him and sniffed his neck, nodding.

“He is fine.” Bill took a seat beside Tyler. “Bobby, what happened?”

“Are you happy that you are mated to Tyler?” Dodge of a question might have been wrong, but he couldn’t go into explanation at that moment.

“Yes. He is extremely nice. He’s willing to help me learn all this stuff.” He waved at the table. “I mean I don’t understand why we are supposed to use all these nice, shiny round things for food. I mean it will only make them dirty.”

First words that wanted to spring from his mouth was they could be washed, but he knew Bill was being serious. He had never seen plates, silverware, or even heard of washing dishes before. He’d spent all his life in wolf form. Eating by the hunt.

“You did not answer my question, brother.”

“Let’s dig in and I’ll explain.”

Chapter 29

Tommy knew the moment that his Uncle walked into the room that something was wrong. He wasn’t sure what. He might should have guessed. Something had been wrong with Bobby last night. Him and Stay picked up on anger and distrust wafting from them when he sent him away. It wasn’t like him to dismiss them, even if he was becoming close to his Fated Mate. Which Tommy was sure he was. It was only natural.

“Hey, Uncle. How are you?”

“Upset with you. Have I not given you everything you wanted and needed?”

“What is going on, Uncle?”

“Answer me.”

“Yes. You have. What is going on?”

“Then how could you fail to tell me that you had a met and mated to a female human, who you turned against her will and that the Master found and is blackmailing you because of her and your son.”

Fuck. That’s what was wrong with Bobby last night. He discovered the truth. Tommy knew it would come to life one day. He had feared it, but never thought it would be so soon. He just hoped that everything he’d done had been unearthed. He could talk his Uncle out of killing him for that infraction, but if he discovered what else he had done . . .

“As if that’s not enough . . . You went and joined them. Turned on me.”

Fuck. He was screwed. He’d covered his tracks just like Uncle Tony taught him. There should have been no way for him to smoke out the truth.

“How did you find out?”

“You know I have ways to get to the truth.” He shook his head, giving him that frown he saw way to many times when he was younger and being immature. Guess Uncle believed he’d reverted back to his old ways. “I have people bringing me information just for the right to use my name to buy a house. Did you really think you could keep this hidden for ever? Surely, you knew it would get back to me. You have her living in one of your houses that I bought you.”

That had been stupid of him, but he couldn’t buy another house without his Uncle knowing and he would have asked him why. What would he have told him? Just like he’d had to work for the Master instead of paying him. He hadn’t wanted to betray his Uncle, but he couldn’t come up with the cash to pay the bastard.

“I didn’t think it would remain hidden, but I’m in so deep that it doesn’t matter. I have provided for my woman and son.” He had. One thing he had managed to do was take some of the money from his account and have his woman invest it. Huge winfall for her. He had her put it in an account in her name. Her and his son had more than enough for the rest of their lives. “Do what you wish with me. Just don’t hurt them. They are innocent in the matter.” Least he knew his Uncle never harmed the unwarranted. He took that into account.

“Have to say you played me and Bobby good. You and his brother had us fooled, but everything usually comes to life in the end. Tommy you may be my nephew, but I loved you like a son, and I hate to have to do this, but I will not show weakness to anyone. Especially, to those who deceived me and your true mate, which you made fall in love with you.” He waved at the bedroom door. “Come with me and let me take care of what has to be done.”

“Uncle will you give my son my spot since Bobby will cease to be my mate once I’m . . .”

“No. Your son will be taken care of as family, but not brought into the family. Bobby is taking over the business in my place. He is the strongest and best person for the spot. Go. Stop by the kitchen on the way out and at least tell him goodbye.”

Chapter 28

Bobby stood in front of the stove flipping eggs when James came up behind him, wrapping his arms around his waist. His hard cock pressed against his ass as he nipped Bobby’s ears, pulling a groan from him. His lip traced the edge of it and then made its way down his throat. Bobby’s cock sprang to life as his ass pushed back into James. He was in the process of sitting the eggs off the burner when the front door opened. They both tensed and inhaled.

“It’s Uncle Tony. Don’t go panicking.”

“Thanks for telling me.” James squeezed him and moved away from him.

Bobby was kind of glad, although he hated the fleeting frown that he caught on James’ face. He hated that it felt . . . Disrespectful to have someone else near him in a sexual manner. Yes the two of them were mates, but it . . . Everything was still new to him. He’d never known that a Mixed Breed would have multiple mates. Never knew any supernatural being would. Especially, one that would have total say over all the others. He’d been taught one way and just discovered he had to learn an entire new way of life. Sucked, didn’t explain it. He was trying not to hurt anyone and it seemed like he was the only one getting hurt. Not by James. He’d been there for him. Great to him. That’s why it bothered him to see a frown on his face because of him.

“Want breakfast, Uncle Tony.”

“No, thanks. I’m here to take care of business.” He sighed. “I will stop back by with Tommy on our way out.”

Damn. Bobby knew Uncle Tony would have to deal with Tommy the moment the evidence had been brought to life, but he deserved what was coming his way. As much as it hurt his wolf to say it. Him and his wolf disliked the idea of his wolf mate being eliminated, but knew he deserved what was coming his way. He’d hurt them. Betrayed them. Used them. How could he have done so? They were mates. Mates did not harm one another.

Warm arms slipped around him, tugging him against a broad chest as a soft chin came to rest on the top of his head. “My Love, you and Cal okay?”

“We’d like to say yes. Might should say yes, but it hurts. Does that make sense.”

“It does, My Love.” James squeezed him tighter. “Let Cal know that I’m here for him. I might not be his wolf mate, but I am his mate and will take on all the pain he has.”

Bobby knew James meant it. Cal knew he did, which is why both of them eased into the embrace for a few moment. Once raised voices began to fill the house, Bobby uncurled himsef from the warmth and resumed fixing breakfast. He needed the distraction, what better than stuffing ones’ face.

Chapter 22

“Alpha Tate, Sir, what have I done wrong?” Bobby could not recall stepping out of line. He’d not been away from Tommy, but something from his past might have came up and bit him in the ass. He hoped not. He was starting a new life and wanted nothing to destroy it.

“Nothing, son.” Oh, we are going into father and son mode. Not professional trouble then. He had just wanted me here fast. What had happened? “I received something this morning. Need you to keep your cool.”

Daddy Simon held out a half ripped sheet of paper. Bobby took it and saw red. His fist clinched, crinkling the paper and snarling. Fangs cut his lower lip. He had only dropped fangs once before in his life. That’s been when his father died.

Threats against his Daddy Simon and the one position that meant the most to him in his life would not be tolerated. It already sucked that he had no heir to keep his family line alive. Bobby never regretted his father and Daddy Simon adopting him, but the two of them should have adopted a pure wolf so he could have taken up the seat as a Alpha for Daddy Simon. Bobby had asked him why he had not had a surgerate carry him a son, but he stated that it did not matter to him if he had an heir or not since his mate was no longer alive. Still, Bobby could not let anyone take his seat from him. The pack tolerated him being there, but many of them talked about him behind his back. Said remarks about his Mixed Breed status. Spoked about how if the other packs knew he lived among them that they would try and eliminate their pack. He was unsure if those statements were true, but he knew few other packs that had Mixed Breeds and he would not risk any of those facts coming to life. Daddy Simon could not survive without his Alpha status. Only one thing for him to do.

“Alpha, I wish to be declared a lone wolf.”

“What!” Daddy Simon’s typical straight shoulders dropped. “Son, no. That is not the answer.”

“It is, Alpha. I am not longer living on pack grounds, giving me the perfect reason to make such a request. Once I am lone wolf you are free to reverse the decision without backlash.”

“And what about Tommy?”

“I will ask Tony to watch over him until it is safe.”

“No, son. You are happy for once. Your dad would come back and kill me for ruining your life.” Daddy Simon tapped the side of his leg, nodding a couple of times then got a huge smile. “I wish your permission to pull in Tony Stake on the matter.”

There was no way I could do that. Tommy would have a shit fit. He did not like his uncle involved in his life. But, Daddy Simon had a good idea. Tony just might know a way around this entire shit storm. Tommy would not be pleased with him if he brought Tony in without him agreeing and he would not do anything to upset him.

“I have to have Tommy’s permission. He doesn’t depend on Tony any more than he has to.”

“Call and talk to him now.”

The phone call quickly turned into texting where Tommy made a valid point. One Bobby should have thought of. Tony Stake, the head of the Mob, did not do anything without a cost. A request like theirs would be a big cost. Did Daddy Simon know it? Bobby was sure he did. Tony had controlled the area for several years, which meant Daddy Simon had dealt with him on many occasions. With confidence he did Bobby told Tommy he did explained that Daddy Simon was desperate to keep him from going lone wolf or see his pack split or him lose his Alpha spot. He also pointed out that he would not allow that to happen to his Daddy Simon, because he would not survive such.

Ended up with Tommy agreeing and Bobby telling them to enter in the back of the pack house. He was not going to hold a family issue meeting in the pack office. No family issues had been held there before and was not going to be done now.

Chapter 21

Simon could not believe his eyes. Bobby had been member of the pack his entire life. The pack had known about his status and no one dared say a thing about it. Why out of the blue? He reread the letter.

Dear Alpha Tate,

I know Bobby was your and his dad’s son by adoptions. I also know he is Mixed Breed and I do not think your pack or the majority of them will appreciate it. So reverse your decision about James or your entire pack will know. You have three days.

Get to work.

Simon flopped down, rubbing his head. Who would dare challenge an Alpha in such a manner? The pack knew, but such a vocal response about his Mixed Breed status had bothered them as long as it was not thrown in their faces. What did he did? Tell his son? Reverse the decision and be done with the issue? An Alpha did not cave into other’s demands. Nor did he jeopardize thee stability of his pack. Crap. Bobby had to be involved in making the decision. It involved him and every aspect of his life. He was just making improvements. Starting to settle into a calmer person.

He picked up the phone and called Bobby. His son answered just like he always did, in pack mode. His son had never had the right to call him Daddy Simon in front of others. It had been how they managed to keep Alpha and family roles separate. Just like his mate had always addressed him as Alpha unless they were enclosed in the privacy of their home. It sickened him to have to treat the two most important people in his lives that way, but they understood how important it was for him to remain Alpha. It was in his blood. Every male in his family for the last fifteen generation had help an Alpha seat. He could be no exception.

“Alpha Simon, how can I help you?”

“Need you in the office ASAP.”

“On my way to breakfast with Tony and Tommy, Alpha.”

“Sorry to have to ask, but this is imperative and can not wait. Ask them to bring you here first.”

“Yes, Alpha.”

His son wasted no time in addressing Tony Stake, another man that as bothersome as he was when he came to town, he held a very important spot in his life. One that also had to be kept silent and hidden. Another one that put knives in the pit of his stomach.

“Tony, I’m sorry, but I’ve been summoned to Alpha Tate’s office. Can you drop me off and accept my deepest apologizes?”

Bobby’s manners were excellent and something Simon had not heard since his father had passed. Simon had done his best to raise the boy right, but being an Alpha and raising a son meant lots of sitters and spereration between them. Oh, he made time for his son, but nowhere near the amount the boy needed.

“That is perfectly fine. I hope everything is alright.”

One of the rare times that Tony Stake’s voice held kindness and caring. It warmed my heart to know that he held such for Bobby. Not many people managed to gain his respect. It meant he had accepted his nephew and Bobby’s budding relationship.

“Baby, sorry about this. I will see you as soon as I can.”

They must not have been far from the Pack House, because the limo’s engine came to life through the open study window. Guess that’s why Bobby forgot to hangup the phone. Simon might should have done so, but he loved hearing the new side of his son. Reminded him of the son he’d seen when his father was alive. Bobby was a young child then, but back then it had been clear that what path Bobby was on. His mate expected a wild streat to form, which is why the restriction on the money, but he had known their son would calm and turn into the man he showed while he was a child. Caring, giving and loving, which is why Simon did not have to see inside the limo to know that his son had his arms wrapped around Tommy as he told him that he’d be back as soon as he could and he tried to reassure Tommy and Tommy’s wolf that both him and his wolf would be perfectly fine and that both of them would be safe with their uncle.

“Oh crap. Sorry, Alpha Tate, forgot to hangup.”

“It’s fine, Bobby. The door to the office is open, come in.”

“Yes, Alpha.”

Chapter 23

“Uh . . . Aspen?” Alpha Widow walked over to Fabin, taking a wide path away from Rex. “What did you do?”

“Wasn’t me, old friend.”

“Then what just happened to my Beta?”

“My son’s magic snuck up and out on him. Suffice to say, for the first time. Right, Rex?”

“That was magic?”

“Sure was.” Aspen smiled over at me. “Powerful for a first time, wasn’t it Warlock Bryon Perry?”

Rex glanced at his grandfather, who nodded his agreement before giving him a thumbs up. What was going on around him? The entire day had been wonky. He’d been in the dungeon, ready to take a hell of a beating from a strange group of werewolves. Then the place was swarmed with men that resembled him and turned out to be family, but some of the top ranked supernatural being among the Supernatural World. Not to mention he had a new true mate, one stronger than his werewolf. One he’d just used magic on. Magic.

“Oh boy.” Rex flopped back, tossing his hands over his face. “How do I fix this?”

“Take a deep breath.” Aspen waited until I took two. “Let your shoulders relax and close your eyes. Then wiggle your fingers.”

All the ice like tingles trickled their way to the end of Rex fingertips and then dissipated. He was in the midst of shaking his arms out when Fabin groaned.

“What just happened?”

“You mate froze your ass.” Alpha Widows slapped Fabin on the back and then motioned to Rex’s prone body. “Might want to get him out of that glass before he does get cut.”

“I’m fine.” He was halfway up on his own when Fabin scooped him up, bridal style. “Put me down. Please. Now.”

Fabin walked over to the sofa and sat down, tucking him tight against his body. Rex wasn’t about to complain, even though he might should have.

“Time we get back to the question at hand.” Alpha Widows retook his spot against the wall as the higherups retook their spot on the sofa across from him and Fabin.

Damn, Rex had hoped his little mishaps had made Alpha Widows forget the entire question. Sure hadn’t made him forget the fact that Alpha Widows thought he belonged to him. That was a fact he would not let go. Guess if he couldn’t let his pet peeve go, it was only far they addressed Alpha Widows.

“Fine.” Rex tried to slid from Fabin’s lap, but he tightened his hold. “Forgive me in advance if I use the wrong terminology. My head hurts and I’m on overload. Larry is my former true mate.”

“Former?” Fabin growled. “You released a mate?”

“At my request.” Larry supplied.

“Why in the hell would you give up a true mate?” Alpha Widows snapped.

“I was married and had a son. It was not allowed to have male mates in the pack.” Pain laced Larry’s voice, but he stood tall.

“Yet you had no problem asking him to offer himself up to Alpha Chamberland as a sacficial lamb.” Alpha Widow scuffed. “You do not deserve to be a beta.”

“Hey.” Rex was out of Fabin’s lap and in front of Larry in seconds. “Do not speak to him that way. He did what had to be done help his pack mates survive. He saw a way to better their lives. He might not have handled things like your betas would, but he did the best he could for the pack he grew up in. Do not give him shit.”

“Watch it.”

Alpha Widow snarled and pressed in on him, but Rex’s wolf, stupid as Rex was he snarled right back. What got him most was the fact that his fingers began to feel fiery again. He took three huge steps back, shoving Larry with him, which had Fabin up on his feet and growling at Larry. Rex’s hands lifted. One towards Alpha Widows chest the other towards Fabin. It less than a second a second a bright white light flew from both hands, shoving both of the werewolves into the wall across the room. Aspen and Councilman Bryon Perry appeared in his line of sight, gripping his hands, lowering them.

“Calm down, young Warlock. No one is going to harm anyone.”

“What the hell?” Alpha Widows sighed. “Aspen, your son needs training.”

“Duh.” Aspen snorted. “He’s not even the age to . . .”

“He is.” Head Supernatural David Perry sighed. “We will have to reach out to Mixed Supernatural Councilman Alvin Thomas. He will not only have to be trained in the werewolf way, but the Warlock, and the Mixed Breed. Then he will choose which way he will live his life.”

Once again, for what felt like the hundredth time that day, Rex found himself in Fabin’s arms and someone saying lay him on the sofa. He needs to rest. Words were never truer. His mind raced and nothing made any sense to him. Too much had happened and all he wanted was time to clear his head and make sense of one thing at a time.

“Larry,” Fabin’s tone was tight, but respectful, which Rex expected was hard for him, considering how he was the former mate. “Does he have a room?”

“He has something. I would not call it a room.”

“We will take him to our lands.” Alpha Widows replied.

“No.” Rex muttered.

“Yes, Mate. End of conversation.”

“Is not.”

“Is.” Fabin ran his hand across his forehad. “Coven Leader Perrry, can I ask you to transport us to my home.”

“That is not acceptable.” Head Supernatural David Perry said. “As much as you are going to dislike this, until he of age, he is in his father’s hands. You know the laws.”

Right. True mates could not take over unless parents agree. Rex’s wolf whimpered, but Rex liked the idea of not having to deal with another mate at the time. There were so much else to handle. It also meant he no longer belonged to Alpha Widows.

“He has to have a Pack.” Councilman William Perry replied.

“Yes, and he does.” Head Supernatural David Perry said. “Until they are properly mated, he belongs to the Chamberland Pack.”

“No. Please, Head Supernatural David Perry. Do not make him remain under that Alpha’s hatred.” Fabin’s begging shocked Rex, but he knew the answer to his plea. Head Supernatural was quoting the laws. And if Fabin took time to think with his logical mind, not his mate’s mind, he would know as well. So would Alpha Widows.

“Fabin,” Alpha Widows sighs filled the room and had Fabin giving one of his own as he leaned down and brushed a light kiss across my forehead.

“Will he be forced to live among the pack, or will he remain in the Coven?”
