Demon of the Week

Belphegor appears as a young girl and gives wealth. Shewas a demon worshiped by Moabites as Baaplphegor on Mount Phegor. Some rabbis claimed he was to be worshiped on the toilet, with an offering being residue of digestion. This led some to referred to him as the God of Pet (Fart) or Crepitus.

This week to find our mythical creature of the week we are traveling back to Egypt around 1600 BCE. There you find a serpent that curls around until it has his tongue in his mouth. This is said to represent the cycle of death and rebirth, eternity and renewal.

Water Elemental Facts

There are many interesting facts about the elemental water that is involved in Wicca. Today I want to share some of those from the Water Elemental.

Water ritual tool is a Chalice, or as some call it the cauldron, and consecrated water. The tarot card association is the card of Cups. Zodiac signs are Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces. It’s associated color is purple/blue.

Mythical Creature of the Week

This week we take a look at the Ant-Lion. As you can guess he has a father as a lion and a mother as an ant. The combination led to him having a lion front and a back like an ant. Later descriptions came about the reason he was called an Ant-Lion. Those people believed he was called an Ant-Lion because he hid in the sand and hunted like a lion. No matter the case, in my opinion at least, the combination of parents created one very unique looking creature.
