Mythical Creature of the Week: Llamhigyn Y Dwr

Today’s creatures comes from Welsh Mythology. The Llamhigyn Y Dwr is commonly called a water leaper. This creature is a monster of ponds, swampy waters, as well as lakes. It has no limbs and a body of a fog, long lizard tail, with membrane wings similar to a bat. It is said to use it wings to leap from the water and glide and swims like a frog using its tail. Last fact the site states is that it is carnivorous.

I don’t believe I would like to run across this, but I have to say I wouldn’t have minded seeing such a creature.

You may find a sketched photo of the  creature from the site I found the information on.

Next Installment of Witchcraft Resource (Witchcraft Theory and Practice by Ly de Angles)

This week I read more about Visualization and the importance of it. Visualization is a major concept of spellcasting. It also leads to dramatic shifts and accomplishes. Basically, it is the imagination and there are different depth at which you can reach.

Visualization uses peacefulness, a relaxed state for creation and altered states, while increasing awareness by controlled and conscious intent, contact, manifestation, and summoning.

Did you know . . .

Did you know that Sloth, one of the deadly sins, means the avoidance of physical, or spiritual work. Other words, laziness will land your ass in a pit of snakes. Doesn’t sound fun to me. I hate snakes. LOL.

Mythical Creature of the Week: Fire Giant

This week I chose to go for a Norse Mythical Creature. There was a long list, some of them I’d heard of, other not so much. I’d heard of Giants, but did not realize there was many subdivision of them. The Fire Giant caught my attention quickly.  Fire Giants are a fearsome race that lives deep within a hot realm called Muspelhiem. It is said that on the day of Ragnarok these creatures will descend earth, causing destruction.

Next Installment of Witchcraft Resource (Witchcraft Theory and Practice by Ly de Angles)

In this installment I gained an understanding of why one needed a clear conscious to cast a spell. Spells are not spoke to others, because it can cause a manifestation of thoughts, which is why you need to be clearly grounded when you cast a spell. People avoid speaking spells to avoid it being taken in a different manner than they wished.

Inspirational Photo

The other day I was searching just for the fun of it and ran across this. Initallly my mind sprang to wondering what mysteries lurked behind the amazing, beautiful waterfall. An opening leading to an underground cave. Stones stained by wear and tear of nature? What does your mind go to when you see this photo?

What is your Mythical Creature Name?

The other day I found this neat little site that will ask you a few questions and then determine your Mythical Creature name. I found the questions kind of interesting, yet some very funny. Still the entire time I was intrigued to know what name they would give me. Came up that my answered earned me the name:

Goldenwing Goblinfire is a mighty and noble dragon that flies freely through the night sky, fighting treacherous ghouls and ferocious flying beasts. Goldenwing is a tenacious creature with huge emerald eyes and frightening fangs who is capable of breathing fire that lights up the sky like a volcano. His indigo colored scales gleam like the surface of a deep, enchanted lake!

Next Installment of Witchcraft Resource (Witchcraft Theory and Practice by Ly de Angles)

Meditation is something we’ve all heard about. Many of us use a version each day, or when life becomes too much. But . . .

It is a very old skill that has been practice around the world among magicians, witches, wizards, and monks. The term is a Westernized term for taming the wild beast, or forefront of the mind. This talent allows one to halt and transfer the everyday emotional assaults through a positive will. Result being a tranquil mind.

So, other than having a peaceful mind what does this have to do with Witchcraft. Well, my resource says one must always become centered before a ritual. Best way to do that is become tranquil. Still confused as to this helps, well the book says:

“The process of mediation is like a stimulant that helps your center open and close freely and intentionally and more obviously than before.”

Mythical Creature of the Week: Hydra

I’m sure we’ve all heard of the Hydra, but did you know it’s full name? Lernaean Hydra. I did not. I’d always heard of the Greek, multiple headed, monster that grew two back when one was chopped off as Hydra, the son of Typhon and Echidna, who lived in lake Lerna of the region of Argolid in the Peloponnese.

Here is a photo of a Blood Hydra. (You can find many more photos of different Hydras at: https://www.greekmythology.com/pictures/Myths/Lernaean_Hydra/ )

Next Installment of Witchcraft Resource

I’m done with the introduction of Witchcraft Theory and Practice Witchcraft Theory and Practice by Ly de Angeles. I’m working my way through section one and the first topic is titled “First Stage Technique Requirements”. There was a lot of god information, informative information, making it hard for me to decide what to share with you guys this week. So, I’ve decided to mention the one aspect I liked reading and then explain the main concept of this week’s reading.

Touch On Topic:
Before you begin section one, there is a little tid-bid from another one of Ly de Angele book The Feast of Flesh & Spirit. It is titled “Hallowed Be Thy Name” I read it and wanted to read the rest that went along with it. Might be something you guys like to check out on your own.

Discussion Topic
The Center

The Center has many names. Spirit, essence, soul, consciousness, but it is the deep part of you that seeks understanding of more than who you are, but why you are here. Activating your Center requires becoming a watcher, a purveyor of how you react and respond within a manifestation environment. Use all five sense, taste, touch, hearing, smelling, and seeing to gain your access to how you react to others as well as how they react to you. This must become second nature to you. In her book, Ly de Angeles gives an exercise of sitting aside an hour a day to become attune with your surroundings. Recognize everything that you think, do, say, and hear. Later in the day jot claim some quiet time and reflect on what you saw, heard, smelled, touched, tasted, thought about, and felt. This is called the Nemet a nonjudgmental, external consciousness.

Demon Philosophy of Cabala

Western magic has a take of its on the origin and nature of demonic entries. According to Cabala demonic powers are entities surviving from a universe existing before ours. They believe the universe to be a realm of an unbalance force which destroyed itself after a relatively short time frame.

Mythical Creature – Kobald

This week’s Mythical Creature is the Kobald, a household spirit of German folklore. They look like old men with a wise old face. Having one of these creatures living near the hearth, or in the barn, helps make any home beautiful.

Next Instalment of Witchcraft Resource

At the end of the introduction of Witchcraft Theory and Practice by Ly de Angles the author states there are two aspects to the work and training.

1.       “the discipline of training the magical will through tried and true methods”.

2.        “the religious training, ritual observances, and spellcrafting techniques”.
