Chapter 54

Bobby and Tommy had just curled up on the sofa in the hotel they were staying in until they bought the furniture for the home they bought a couple of hours ago. The Realtor told them of a small family owned furniture shop that stocked all kinds of top grade furniture and branded themselves on same day delivery. They’d been tired from the flight and looking at ten mansion style houses before him and Tommy both told the nice Realtor that they wanted something a bit smaller. Large was nice and all, but she was showing them homes with seven and ten bedrooms. There was no way they needed a house that big when they would only travel there for vacation time.

“That was intense.” Tommy covered his mouth with his hand. “Want me to order some room service?”

Before he could answer the deep rich commanding voice filled the room ordering someone to answer it. It was the ring tone Bobby assigned to David so that he knew to answer no matter when it came through. He hated to hear such a ring tone, but he knew of no other way to know when the Alpha called him.

“What is he calling us for?”

“Not sure, baby.” Bobby reached into his back pocket and tugged his phone free. He answered, putting it on speaker. “Hello, Sir. I have you on speaker, is that okay?”

“Uh . . . I see no reason why it would be bothersome to him. Might be to both of you. I hate having to make this call.”

Damn. Bobby hated hearing those words. He wanted nothing to destroy his honeymoon time. Tommy deserved a break from disastrous moments interrupting special moments. Maybe he should take it off of speaker. Would it keep less stress off of Tommy? No. He’d still worry and be upset about being in the dark. That would only tick him off, even if he said he understood. Tony kept him out of the loop on lots, which Tommy had told him pissed him off. Not that Bobby blamed Tony. Tommy had no fortitude for the life of a mobster. He might like to think he could stand up and take a life if the situation arose, but he’d back down when it came right to it. His heart was jsut to big. His baby, couldn’t even stand to kill an ant. Oh, he’d get angry and express himself in a very verbal manner and might even fight it out, but there’d be no major harm done. Purposely at least.

“Do you wish to take me off speaker, Bobby?”

“No, Sir.” Bobby tugged Tommy under his arm. “Is there a problem we should be aware of? Is Daddy Simon and Tony okay?”

“They are both fine. Kind of ticked about this call, but I was not pleased about being ordered to make it either.”

Ordered? Shit. That meant the Master had gotten involved. He knew they’d called him in to assist with the intruding wolf, which meant . . .

“I’m afraid the Master has requested that once you find yoru house that you return.”

Tommy stiffened and slumped beside him at the same time. He could feel Stay’s displeasure in having his honeymoon cut short. It was their right to spend a week alone and away from the pack. Or group in their case. Even Cal was ticked about having their time cut short.

“Sir, it is within our right to take a week for each type of marriage.”

“It is. And you will have your time. Just after the issue is resolved.”

“How long will that take?”

“Unsure at this time.”

“What has taken place?”

“He has changed the wolf.”

“Who is he?”

“That is why you must return. The Master has requested you, your biological parents and the newly turned human meet with him. That is all I will tell you on the phone. Can you give me an ETA of when you will search for your house?”

Biological parents? What do they have to do with the situation? Knew getting them involved was wrong. Should have told David to keep them away from me. If they had never came into his life, he would be spending the next two weeks right where him and Tommy wanted. Alone.

“Bobby?”

“We have done found our home. We were going to furnish it tomorrow.”

“I will have the plane ready to bring you home in an hour.”

Great. Not even enough time to make love to Tommy before leaving. Sucked ass. “We will be there, Sir.”

“Once again, I am sorry and it will be made up to you both.”

The line went silent as Tommy buried his head into Bobby’s shoulder. Bobby wrapped his arms around him, holding him while he sniffled and muttered about it not being fair. For once, it sucked to be him. He wanted to say something to ease his mate, but he had no words. Nothing would do such. Telling him they’d be back soon as thing were resolved gave little to no ease. Having the honeymoon planned right after the wedding gave an excitement buildup and having it stripped away left  hole among a person’s life. Sounded strange since they’d be coming back for the week and then moving onto Aspen, but it was the point of it all. Their plan had been ripped apart.

As much as he hated it, Bobby tapped Tommy’s back and said, “Get our luggage ready to go. I’ll check us out of the room and call us a cab.”

“I hate thinking about our new home sitting there empty.”

He did to, but least no one would steal anything they didn’t get unpacked before they had to leave. He doubted they had to worry about robbery in their fully gated community. There were videos on every corner and every half of mile. Place was very secure. He’d kept that in mind when he made his decision. He knew Tony would want that. If it did not exist, he’d make sure it was put in place. If he thought of it during the purchase Tony would know how well he’d take care of his mate.

He’d used his hotel phone to dial the main desk and get them checked out while Tommy repacked their suitcases.
