Jeff could have rung Jual’s neck. The man was . . . freaking . . . there was no words to describe how he felt about Jual when he took it upon himself to do his job as well as his own. The man was deadest that he could not take on more than a weak supernatural being. Jeff knew the man did so out of love for him, but the man had to let him do his job. It was what kept him anger in control. It was what allowed him to work as a agent of the Supernatural-Human Leadership. Key word there being human.
He glanced down at his knuckles and sighed. Looked like there be another round, or ten, on the punching bag tonight. It was the only other method he had to expel his bubbled up anger. Better than taking it out on Jeff, or anyone else who spoke to him. He would not become like his father. He’d seen that man take on fifteen men at one time. He killed six of them and knocked the other nine out with minimal harm to himself. Then the man had came home and went a round on him and his mother. That was why he had mastered his own anger. He had as much of, if not more, than most humans. Never once had he taken it out on anyone. Each day of his teenage years was spent in Master Kin’s dojo. The man taught him how to master his anger. It hadn’t been easy, and once or twice Master Kin wanted to give up on him, but in the end he stuck with him and together they learned how to control his anger and dispel it wit his fist, but in a non-threatening manner. He could pound and pound on a bag and expel all the fire inside him without harming a soul, besides his knuckles and muscles.
“I think I have found it.”
Jeff spun his computer screen around and pointed at some kind of bright multi-colored . . .
“Is that a falcon?”
“Some of the human text refers to Rarog as one.”
“Why do I feel a but in there?”
“There is one.” Jeff clicked another tab at the bottom of his screen, pulling up the Mythical Creature database that listed the true sides of the supernatural beings known to the world. “This says that the Rarog has extreme magical skills if he is lucky enough to have found his Sugilite Stone. Apparently, there is one stone for each Rarog born to the world. This stone is then hidden among the caves so that the Rarog has to search for his. There is no power given to them until they find their precious stone.”
“This power can be transferred if others found it?”
“Doesn’t say, but I’m sure if I wanted to I could use the Attachment Spell to bring the stone’s loyalty to me. Not an easy spell, but if you have the right level of . . .”
Right. A powerful Warlock, or Witch, would be able to take on the power. “So, this power does what for the new owner?”
