Chapter 9

The office door flew open and Juilan rushed over to the television, snatching up the remote. It came to life with Andy Candyman standing in front of Enapay Chavos.

“Why are you so outspoken now? Commander and Chief Javis has been a great addition to our world since he took over.”

“That is great. Knew Candman would boast us.” Julian nodded his head.

If he was going to talk him up then why was he interviewing the man that held so much admoisity against him. Seemed . . . Equal to Javis. Which reporters should be. When it came to people and their freedom of speech and emotional stance on how their country is being operated they should be able to be heard just like their leader should be. It was his own fault he had not responded. Yet.

“I waited to see how his method would affect us. All it is going to do is eliminate the human race. All it is doing is forcing us to give up our last phase of life. Life is an revoliving method. Birth. Growth. Death. It is what each of us should go through. We are being deprived of that and it is wrong.”

“What do you say to the ones that believe in his method? Or those who do not believe that life is a revolving method?”

“They have the right to think as they wish. Just like I do. And that is my whole point. Our right to believe and think and choose is being stolen from us. It is our choice if we wish to be turned into a Vampire. To give us what is our right to have. It is our right to decide if we wish to becocme a Vampire. Not have it forced upon us, like we are having done know.”

“Javis, we have to shut this down. Now.” Julian faced me. “He is going to gathered a larger follower than he already has.”

Least him having the interview with Andy Candyman gave away his location. Mateo and his men had been unable to locate where he was residing. They’d gone to his farm and his home in the moutains but came up empty. It appeared that he’d came out of his hidey-hole in order to spill more truth. Darn it. Hated to think that, but . . .

Dracula had been wrong to go about things the way he had. Javis knew it from the get-go. He had all but spoken up. Might have done so if it would have done any good. The Royal Blood Society might claim they were a majority rule group, but no one went against what Dracula voted. Feared doing so. Even he. did, which is why he’d kept his mouth shut. Which is why he found himself in the spot he did. It is also why he had to try and manupliate Enapay Chavos to withdrawl his speeches. Go against what he believed about his method.

“Why are you so calm about all this?” Julian slammed his hand down on the desk.

“Watch it.” Javis sat back in his chair and kicekd his leg up on the edge of the desk.

“What do you think about Commadner and Chief Javis’ lack of response?” Andy Candyman never failed to ask the hardcore question. No matter who it made look bad. No matter how he liked or disliked.

“It just proves my point.”

“You truly think his lack of response is an admitance of him stealing our choices?”

“See. I told you that we should have responded to this right after his first speech.” Julian groaned. “This is a cluster fuck.”

“Oh, calm down.” He hated dramatics. “I’ve done spoke to Andy. Me and him have a sit down tomorrow.”

“You . . . What?”

“You heard me. So calm yourself down.” Javis pointed to the door. “Cut that shit off and leave me be.”

“I need to prepare you for the interview.”

“I know how to handle interviews. Done plenty of them. Get. I’m going to drink me some blood and rest.”
